ya i just saw it a couple times last night at a resturant. I was oggling at the tv and my mom was like "what are you looking at?", i was like "....ummm noth... oh nothing sorry." It definetly makes me wanna buy under armour tho. it was freakin' hot!

UA will work for women for the same reasons it works for men. There is a need for it and UA is providing the answer. As far as showing hot girls portraying their gear, that is a marketing deal and a good one honestly. "If you wear UA, you will look as hot as they do when playing sports" is the underlying message of that. This is what alot of clothing companies do when they use good looking models.

Ya all good points. and look, ya'll didn't scare away all the girls from our forums. BTW I was in the sports authority today and i saw a poster of the underarmour logo w/ the shadow of a lacrosse head behind it, at first i didn't take much notice, but then I noticed the sidewall looked like nothing I'd ever seen, does this mean a possibly deeper dive into lacrosse by underarmour.

there are some hot female athletes in my school (especially volleyball) but none like that, and it will definitely increase their market from both genders. IMO. i would just buy some more stuff so they would make another commercial. :love:

edit: at the end it sounds like they are saying "thunder cats huah"( or however you spell it)

I think they say "boom boom tap huah". I'm guessing that's the motto for girls under armour, like "click clack, I think you hear us coming" is the motto for boys.

I'm pretty sure BoomBoomTap mimics the sound of the girls huddle. Not sure where I read that, but the first day I saw the commercials, I looked it up and that was one of the explanations.

yeah, i saw the higher res version of the commercial on www.underarmour.com/boomboomtap and honestly the girls aren't as spectacular as some of you make them out to be, which in my opinion is good because it shows that not just supermodels can be athletically gifted in UA gear.

Ya, your right...and to reply to DJDEATH's post, we're saying that the commercial itself is hot, not necessarily all the girls. And yes, its nice to see that there using real female athletes and not models pretending to be athletes in the commercials.

Yeah, they're saying "Boom boom tap huah" at the end. My friend was in the soccer part of the commercial.

Oh, and that around the world shot? It didn't actually go in. They used the footage of the girl shooting, and then took footage from another really nice shot and made it appear that the shot went in. At least that's what I was told. And the soccer shot? The girl shown winding up and kicking it wasn't actually the one that should have credit for it. They used footage from someone else's shot.

watch the behind the scenes stuff on the main boom boom tap website and it shows the girl doing the soccer shot.

The best part was I think the first shot of the volleyball chicks with the oil on the legs:OMG:

And at our school the hottest female athletes are the soccer girls. Then the volleyball girls at a close second:yumyum:

The team in the commercial though appears to be the Broadneck HS Bruins. Bonnie Bernstein is the attractive reporter interviewing the field hockey team. You may recognize her as an ESPN sideline reporter.

Dude, Lauren Ober, a writer for US Lacrosse Magazine, talks about this commercial in the magazine and even mentions this thread :clap: . About 3/4 though the article, it says,

Check out the thread on www.lacrosseforums.com about the commercial. You'll find all the guys chiming in with their best FHM-style commentary about which girls are hotter, the volleyball girls or the lacrosse girls. One poster on the forums asked to whom exactly did Under Armour expect to sell the clothing since the ad was geared towards men. Good point.

Read her editorial and check her pasty-faced headshot. You can tell Ms Ober is harboring feelings of envy against the girls in the UA ad. :nahya:

heres my take of Boom Boom Tap.

Boom-Hitting a softball

Boom-Getting a good hit in Volleyball

Tap-Tapping of sticks in field hockey or lacrosse after girls score.

Also, in volleyball girls have all sorts of cheers, stomps and claps they do.
And volleyball girls a hotter, thats why i date my girl, great legs and buns.

Also, one of the girls on the volleyball team should be wearing a different colored jersey, most leagues use a Lebaro now.
