I dont think it matters much. You can go to some type of college program during the summer which is a program for people who want to get into that line of work. But I would just say to do well in school (take all the AP and honors classes you can) and do well on your SAT's and you can get into a college. You can also just take some extra science classes to show your interest

You dont go to medical school out of highschool.

You go to a 4 year university, and then after you graduate you apply to a 4 year med school.

Med schools look at your major, your grades in science classes, and overall GPA.

then 2 years of residency lol so you have at least 10 years + what ever you have left in high school

also if your age is right then youll be a senior this year, so its too late to do anything

no ill be a junior

dang your gunna be 20 when you graduate from high school. Anyway next summer try things like this:

http://hpap.syr.edu/spstate.htm

i know theres more but you have to look for them

also take chemisty and AP Bio (if you can) along with anatomy (if you have that) just as many science classes you can. Junior year is your most important and colleges look at it the most so take science courses to show interest

youll prolly wanna wait to worry about this until you get to college where you will have an academic advisor who will tell you everything you need to know

Alright, from an educated source (not me haha) you need...

HIGH GPA
HIGH SAT scores (2100+ at least)
LOTS of QUALITY, SELECTIVE extracurricular activities
A ROUGH schedule, including mostly Honor and AP classes
HIGH SAT subject scores and HIGH AP test scores
A very good essay
Very good teacher recs.

Good luck.

o so your age isnt right. Anyway, you do not need over a 2100 to get into college. 2100 is very difficult to get and 1500 is average. Anyone can get into a college. Its just what you do in college that determines the med school you go to

Dude, I don't see why you don't just talk to your counselor. They can help you lots-my brother is gonna go to West Point, and he has all his schedules and classes all prepared, along with extra ciriccular activities, he is also the starter, and president of the Millitary Club at my high school, which has about 15-20 members. Pretty big if you ask me.
if you want to go to med school, obviously make sure you like Biology, my Grandpa is a doctor, and an Engineer (yea, my grandpa was like 33 when he graduated all of it and got all his certifications and such lol..). So just talk to your counselor. They know what to do, or at least the ones at my school do.

Yeah med school is a grad school. You should worry about getting through undergrad first with an high enough GPA to get admitted to JHU's med school. Grad schools usually look at undergrad courses and GPA and any entrance exams you need to take (GRE, LSAT, MCAT, ect) and base their decisions off that.
I have also heard from a few doctors I've talked to, that med schools are decling more and more of the biological majors that are applying. There reason is being that they teach you all the science you need to know and they want more well rounded students in their program.
