I got this off of the laxpower.com forum, it is a list of most of the verbal commitments to major schools for the class of 2008. Knowing the kids that were already committed to the schools i was looking at really helped me make my decision. Feel free to talk about commitments that are not on the list if you know they are completely true. By the way pretty much all of these commitments have been confirmed. Anyone on the list?

wait is that for 2007-2008?? If so your missing a few syracuse players such as Tim Desko(west genny), John Galloway(west genny), Josh Amidon(lafayette), Tom Guadagnolo(jordanelbridge), and Jevon Miller(CBA). Also the Binghamton class they brought in is the best one they ever brought in with numerous good players, but yet you dont have them up there. Ooo and a kid from my school early commited to Albany, and you dont have him up there; the kid is sick, an absolute lacrosse player. He plays attack by the way so look out for him.

Most wlax commitments are kept a secret until the NLIs are signed, just a different way of working things. There are plenty who have committed, but it's just not publicly announced like the boys do. About the only way you hear is through word of mouth.

The brother rice kid isnt that good, the list isnt 100% the best. I played so many of these kids this year and a lot of them are good but some kids should be on there instead of others if they want it to be the best. I am not going to get into whos better then who. I dont really come on here very much so you can say I dont know what i am talking about. I have 6 teammates between school and club teams that are on the top recruits list and i committed to a D1 school back in June with a very good scholarship that I am happy with. I am sure the kid that said it before me feels the same way I do.

Well I have never seen this kid play and it sounds like you know a hell of a lot more about this kid than I do. His comment just came off as a little arrogant when he felt the need to put down two future d1 players.
And congratulations on the scholarship. Do you mind if I ask where you will be playing? It's ok if you want to keep it to yourself though.

Um? Okay?
Well, unless Travis got a lot better from this summer to last, which is a real threat, he didn't deserve to be going D1 for his skills.

Im sorry but id rather not say where I am going to play at for privacy reason. They usually are in the top 15 D1 but sometimes break top 5 adn sometimes jump out of the top 20. They sound like a jumpy team, but im happy and confident with the coach and since we ahvea young team i think we will be able to do a lot.
how do you commit?
usually a coach will ask you for a commitment if you are ready. With a scholarships they will make you and offer and ask you if you would like to come. Then with out a scholarship they will just tell you that they ahve a spot for you and if you would like to come. Then after that happens you decide where you want to go, and then just call up the coach and be like 'hey coach, i decided im coming to *where ever*'.

a teammate of mine commited to Army coming from texas. Travis Tabb(Cy-Fair)
Tabb definitely has a good set of hands but nothing amazing... his stature is definitley a disadvantage for him and all those points he racked up (around 400 from what i've heard) it's not much to talk about with the teams cy-fair plays
i'm guessing he won't play much at army. If he does sign with Army he'll be playing a few games unless he improves dramatically and then on his way to Iraq (I'm hoping he thought about that)

ummmm... ok personally moving from grand rapids out to massachusetts and playing in one of the top prep school league in new england that is not true. i had a brutal wake up call when i started to play with kids out here and realized that there are very few teams in michigan that could compete with any lacrosse hotbed. even state champions like egr or other schools like forest hills would get embarrased. so there is no way that stars of teams like fontanesi from brother rice is overrated. there is a reason why brother rice was in the top 25 this year and he was a big part of it. hopkins would not recruit him if there were better people he was palying against. also, why do you think there was under 10 kids going d1 from michigan?
and finally if you are so good then where did you committ and why are you still playing at a $*** school like south lyon?

I have 6 teammates between school and club teams that are on the top recruits list and i committed to a D1 school back in June with a very good scholarship that I am happy with. I am sure the kid that said it before me feels the same way I do.
The kid is going to Maryland, is a first team all-midwest / All-state/ All-American/ MVP of BR's team and you think he is over-rated?

haha yes but mike anderson, a commit to army, is also a big athletic beast. Andersons a runningback, puzz is a safety, do the math It's to bad nobody has the video of puzz laying him out twice the next day and then stripping him of the ball to end the game.
