Head Men's Lacrosse coach at Merrimack College, Bart Governanti send the following e-mail to his players today:

I hope all is well and you are enjoying the summer. I have been offered and accepted the position of Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at the Avon Old Farms School in Avon, CT. The opportunity to provide myself and my family with long term stability and an improved quality of life are my reasons for leaving Merrimack. I would like to thank you for your support, hard work and friendship. I wish you, your families and the Merrimack College lacrosse program the best of luck in the future. Thank you.



The Merrimack Athletic Department will be contacting the team captains to schedule a team meeting to discuss the transition period as Merrimack searches for a new head lacrosse coach for the upcoming season.

haha..... i sent an e-mail to him today saying i was going to be at hotbeds.... kinda ironic

Yeah now this guy Pirie or something is gonna coach there and i know a bunch of people that used to go to the school he coached and taught at and they all hated him to the fullest...even kids that weren't on the lacrosse team. All the kids say hes there least favorite person in the world so...bad choice by Merrimack. But thats just what i hear...i dunno the guy.

Who is this guy Pirie? I play lax for merrimack and this is the first I'm hearing of it, I knew about Bartolo but not about any new guys
