do you guys have any favorite pc games? im lookin to get a new one , i have cs and cs:s already along with DoD, im downloading an MMORPG called last chaos as we speak seems like it would be worth a shot cause its free. although its been at 48% for like 30 minutes... i was also considering guild wars, titanquest, and call of duty 2 maybe , mainly looking at shooters/rpgs/mmorpgs(with no monthly fees!!!)

i searched for threads like this and didnt really find anything i wanted.

Oblivion is a sick game, also half life 2 is a must. Garrys mod is also fun to try.

i got, company of heroes, for pc from my cousin it is fun, but insanely hard. But you have to have an upgraded graphics card. And i have pretty high resolution on my monitor so i can set the resolution super high, it does have pretty amazing graphics, and if i could ever get somewhat good at the game i might try to beat it, but it seems really hard, i have only passed like 3 levels. But, i do recommend it to you, an awesome game.

yeah graphics cards are pretty expensive, mine was like 150$ or something like that my mom bought it for me.

ohh i see, i thought about it once but im better and seem to enjoy console more and im better at the games haha, i think im just goin to play cs though i might get guild wars

My friend has guild wars he says it fun but it looks really dull. I usually prefer fps but oblivion was good. Yea keep playing cs it doesnt usually get old and tehres always new maps. Soon halo 3 and gta will come out.

Company of Heroes is awsome if you can think on the fly, against other people its nuts.

You can get amerivcas army on download.com or their website also I think. Great game but I prefer cs with zombies and surf levels.

My absolute favorite game of all time is Microsoft's freelancer. a singer player RPG in the vastness of space. Althought its older, and dosent demand 2gb of ram, windows vista (yuck), a dual core processor, accompanied by a 768mb Nvidia gcard, taking up 2 PCIe slots, with at least 16gb of free space, i think its still pretty good. I'm always disapointed when i think that it was never really popular.

i tried to install a couple of games on my compy, but i run everything on linux, and even though i have a windows emulator, they just don't run so well. so i usually play spider solitaire.

cs 1.6 is all you need. find a good team and play competitively. there's a good amount of cash that can be won if you put your mind to it.

Soldier of fortune 1 and 2 were pretty good shooters. I also recommend F.E.A.R, Battlefield 2, cs 1.6, Kuma war (free game), and AA

i have cs 1.6, source, day of defeat, day of defeat source, and i recently got guild wars (addictting), i almost entered a torunament for gears of war on 360, $2000 cash prize and a trip to NJ for top 5, i know i could have made it too me and my friend never lose online haha

Bumping this up.

I was looking at getting an FPS now, I got tired of Guild Wars and sold it and my friend and I decided we wanted to get PC games and we are looking at FPS's. My computer can run pretty decent stuff but his is a kinda old Gateway and we're looking for a game we can both play. Nothing with too high quality requirements but nothing too low. Anyone help me out?

Well my old favorites are No One Lives Forever 2 (NOLF2) and Unreal Tournament 2004 (UT2004). Anyone ever play either of these? They are both absolutely amazing, but since you are probably looking for some online play I wouldn't get them because there is probably not many people playing. You can't go wrong with Call of Duty 4. It's amazing on Xbox 360 so it probably is just as good on the computer. I just looked it up - Unreal Tournament III came out a bit ago. UT2004 is pretty amazing I'm sure this one would be good. Battlefield 2142 another pretty awesome game. I played it at my friends house it was pretty amazing. I've been playing a lot of Unreal Tournament 3, which if you set it up real low inst to bad on system requirements... but is still really fun.

But I've also been playing this new game Crysis, which will kill your system unless you're running a pretty serious machine. But its beautiful. And if you have alot of spare time sometimes.. a single multiplayer game can last up to 10 hours.
