[RANT]Shipping First

AM i the only one that is noticing the recent increase of all the "noobs" using the FS/WTB forum, saying "I DON'T SHIP FIRST" even though they have no feedback whatsoever?This is really getting annoying, when i have lots of good feedback and no bad(+10/-0) and i guy offers a trade that i like, we work out all the info, then he turns around and says "okay you ship first". I know i should just ignore these idiots but, come on other than the hall of famers, everyone is saying this.Even if they have NO feedback either way....
I had a guy ask me to ship first when his first post was asking me if i wanted to trade, that's just assanine.

We should just institute a general recommendation that whoever has higher feedback ships 2nd.We need to do something because this will lead to scamming if it is not nipped in the bud right now.

lol, you can't blame em if the don't know how shipping stuff works on here. I did that when I first joined also.

Well, if they're selling they have all the right to ask you to ship first, or if it's their thread, but if they post in your thread saying they don't ship first, kindly explain to them the situation and how things work, and is they still want you to ship first, then just don't do buisness with them, it's as simple as that.

i understand all of this, and yeah Live4it, they posted in my thread, there was like 3 seperate occasions.

I would lay out the ground rules. Explain that respected traders have a reputation to uphold on these forums, and that a new trader must earn that respect through successful deals.

Tell him that because he has a lower feedback rating, he ships first, or else the deal breaks off.

There isn't much to argue here. If you can't agree during a deal, don't do it. This 'rant' has nothing to do whatsoever with improving the site.

We're not going to force new members to ship first. It's their decision. If they are too stubborn to trust you, then so be it. If they don't understand that you have a clean track record, then they will suffer. Again, we're not trying to impose too many rules about the FS/WTB forum. It's your risk.

it is pretty annoying but then i just prefer not to deal with them but you just gotta live with it man, whats really annoying is all the new members that are like ive got 10$ to spend and i want high end equipment

but again cant really do anything about it
