What do you think is the most exciting play in lacrosse?( from a player's perspective, not a spectators) My pick would be a iso and then a end to end rush.

for me I would put seeing a goalie run the ball up, spinning off checks and end up scoring

That would be cool, especially if it was a gamebreaking play, rather than some goalie just screwing around when the game was a blowout.

i think a really quick give and go then a score would be up there

How they pull that off!?

Seeing a Dallas Eliuk generated series of saves, with the game on the line. Trust me, he can pull off 6-10 saves in a row, that could make your jaw hit the floor with enough force to break the stands.

Other than that, a crushing blow by a D man on an attacker as he recieves the ball!

Diving/Trick goals and close scoring high intesity physical game, and a crowd that hates the visiting team.

my favorite is the Air Gait, it was just way too cool. an i had seen the 360 that would probably be it, but i didn't :dummy. at second would be Casey Powell getting sandwiched by 3 guys, then getting back up and scoring

throwing a nasty check on the opposing team's best middie...and taking away not only the ball but his stick...

i think the best to see is a perfectly executed man up play, or when a 3 or 4 man d, shuts out the other team's man-up o.

Oh, and that play in the link is pretty simple. it's just alot of acting... a guy taught it to me at camp. you just pretend to flip the ball to your teamate, he pretends to catch it and then charges the goal. Meanwhile, YOU really grab the ball back and just jog off and make sure the d is focused on your teamate without the ball. then you get an easy crank at the cage.

casey powell getting nailed by a defender, who breaks both his arms and a leg, then the defender taking the ball the whole way up and scoring

Defender accidently throwing an interception and the middie/attackmen scoring a goal

tillman johnson making an incredible triple save-incredible! besides that, the lone midi barging through five men and scoring. it feels even better when you do it, like i did at camp.

Split dodge to a left handed goal. See whats really sad is for me it was go left or run into the wall. and the kid thought i'd go into the wall. Moron.

I can't remember which one, Paul or Gary, used to start at X, then come diving into the crease off to the left or right, and then tuck the ball into the goal...

It's illegal now at all levels of play.

I think it's only illegal at least in the MLL if you hit the ground inside the crease before the ball crosses the goal line.

No, the danger to goalies makes the play illegal. As a goalie, I'm taught not to bail out no matter the circumstance, even if this 220 pound attackman is diving into my knees...

Still, it was a pretty play back in the day.

Yea, did the same in my "indoor" League, this comes running into me and stood like a rock.

Actually I've come out of goal and harassed the attackmen, or if theres a defensemen and an attackmen going for the ball at X, I'll "accidently" let my stick in the way of the attackmen, works every time.

It was Gary that was most known for it and they made it illegal to protect the goalies. yes, the MLL has it and its one of the improved rules they have.

I actually like the no crease diving rule, it sucks when some one jumps into your knees witha titanium shaft.

ok. it's when you jump from behind the goal and slam the ball in from behind the cage. it's awesome. plus there're like 15 different versions of it, some by gary and others not.

Along those same lines, a kid on my team had a freaky goal last year...
He shot the ball fom about 5 ft out of the crease, the ball, hit off the cross bar, back at him, hit off his helmet, and went in the goal. no one knew what to say.

I think pulling the perfect over the head check to save the game is a great play.I am not talking about the simple over the head, I`m talkin` about the kind where you not only take the ball, but suprise the guy(since he think he burnt you)and suprise him so much that he makes more of a mistake than dropping the ball.I think all the defenders know what I`m talkin` `bout, a`m I right...huh?

Or when a totally dumb wimpy attackman(not dissin` the great attackmen, just sayin` the few who think they are all that and their not)are totaled after a nice shove and they go down relly hard.

yo, 2 best plays ive seen:
#2. kid throws a nasty box fake on the right gle, fakes the crap outta his defender... drives to the goal takes the left handed shot, its way wide but hits a defender in the helmet and bounces in. Sends the game into overtime w/ 6 seconds left.

#1. Shot of the top cross bar, bounces straight down, around the right side of the crease, a middie comes crashing down, and all in one motion: Dives, scoops the ball outta the air, and sticks it far top corner behind the back, oh yes then lands outside of the crease. THe whole time being horizontal with the ground. NASTY.

My new move is awesome...I just wish i could do it. You charge teh cage without the ball and have someone pass it in low and you do a diving quick stick.

all gait goals rule, but check out some John Grant jr. box goals, he is ****ing awesome, same with Colin doyle and Kaleb Toth. Powell's good, but all his **** was done by the gait's like 10 years ago

my personal faves are air gait 360, air gait original, and marechek's reverse over the shoulder in box lax.

im doing a trick. where i go from a sidewall stall, to flip it up in the air, then go over the shoulder onetimer bounce sshot, hard to explain. once u add variations its nasty

pollo loco in this forums thing is awesome at scrong fancy he can do a backbreaker naturally like the gary gait poster on e-lacrosse's front page. check out his member thing, send him a message, he's wicked at freestylin' the stick like the 360 lacrosse commercial!!!! my moves are basic, all trick shots for box, you
can't do fancy **** in box, you'll get killed in field in do that, but i mostly work on box skills and i do a lot of reverse over the shoulders, windmill fakes, behind the back, spin sidearms shots, and so on!!! watch john grant jr. highlights on e-lacrosse videos and you'll get my drift on what needs to be done in box lax!
