There's gotta be more than this one (although, this one looks like it's right in our wheel house)!
Are there any other Youth (middle school age) tournaments in the Midwest (Colorado to Indiana)?
Please IM me or send me an email if you don't want to post!

We were down at Toomey's tourney this past weekend. We played on Sat, a little chilly! Fields were in good shape and everything ran on-time. A great format, games every other hour...overall well organized! Lots of really good teams. Mile High Lax Club looked good as did the Chesapeake Rock.
There were a ton of college coaches there as well. 5 fields and each field had 8-10 coaches. The stadium field seemed to get the most attention. When we played there we had over 20 coaches!
Overall a great tourney...at least Sat was...anyone there for Sunday's tourney?

Ultimate Performance (Toomey) at Broadneck HS, Nov. 17:
As noted above, the fields and organization were good. Broadneck has two great fields, a couple ok, and a couple that are absolute crappy cow pasture material -- at least one player got a nasty ankle sprain. Teams from all over. At least 75 college coaches signed in by noon, probably more later, too, including just about every top school you can think of.
Competition was decent, but many teams were uneven -- always a problem with all star teams of uncertain composition -- some great players, some obviously rusty or out of shape, a few close games, but many blowouts, too. Couldn't say who the "best" teams were because no one played out of their bracket.
For the love of god, don't eat the food. Definitely a great event to attend if you want to get seen by college coaches.

Fall Brawl - HS Varsity at Robinson Secondary in Virginia, Nov. 18:
This is a 7v7 tournament of local high schools with a few outsiders. Weird rules, tiny fields, and very short games (25 minutes per game, maybe just 30 minute breaks). Attracts the better local public school and a few private school teams, but not much of a vehicle for being recruited -- just play it for fun. There were a few lower level scouts from schools that would have a hard time attracting the better players from recruitment events, which takes some of the pressure off.
