For my school you have to do a project that helps the community to graduate and i thought about holding a one week basic lacrosse camp for grades 5-9. Does anyone have any suggestions on what i should do or does anyone have any experience on this???

I had looked for things like this as well.
The answer I found was 'keep it simple'.
*Work on basic passing and ground balls.
*Use soft equipment [kids this age are less coordinated and more prone to injuries from regular lacrosse balls].
*Make it fun, fun, fun. i.e. races to get to the ground ball, passing races, etc.
*No contact if you do try a 'game'. i.e. once a player has touched a ground ball, they get it....
There's not much out there, so I'd also like to hear what other places are doing - we're getting more and more interest in the 'under 9' group in the Houston area!

yea klein holds a annual clinic and alot of kids show up but its kids of all ages who wanna see wat the game is all about and we have alot of coaches come and help out and the players come also and its alot of fun and then at the end the varsity plays a game for them to show them what a game looks like and what not

try younger kids, like grades 3-5, and play with pinky type balls, and play like ultimate frisbee, exept you get so many steps before you have to pass or shoot

My coach holds this kind of thing every year. Use tennis balls with the younger kids and make little games to work on passing and catching then have a little scrimmage.
