Stick hooks

well i just had a friend re-do an old stick I have for a tournament this weekend. I need it for tomorrow but when i got it tonight i was messing around with it and every time i threw the ball hooked straight at the ground unless i threw it hard. so basically i cant do light passes. Is there any quick fix like tightening or moving shooting strings to fix this. Any help is appreciated.

Tighten then untie the shooters and throw with your rebounder. Then tie them off, when you like how it throws. If it still doesn't work, learn to string in the next night...

Tighten the shooters, and don't tie a knot, so they can loosen. Then when they're perfect, tie a knot, so they don't loosen.
