I recieved the 08' Warrior Catalog today and heres a list of the new stuff..

I'm taking pics now so they'll be posted within the hour or so....

Here is a list/mini review/comments of the new stuff in the catalog

Heads:
Stiffi-we've all heard about it, about 10 threads on it
Blade F-Off - asymmetrical side wall allows for a head start on clamps, shorter sidewall flexes to pop the ball on plungers and increases grip on rake moves...this isnt the same as the prototype in som other threads...it has 2 different sidewalls and is in a darker silver
Blade 2.0..updated blade..looks a little wider but i'm really pumped about this one
Outlaw..new beginner head...really wide and looks pretty heavy
ODB (The name comes from Ol'Dirty ******* im guessing bc the subtitle is Shimmy, Shimmy Y'all)..goalie head...sidewalls are slimed down for ultralight weight perormance...etched tat design...ridgid scoop...super tough durable nylon
Abyss 2.0 updated version of the abyss goalie head
The wall box goalie head..not ncaa legal

Stringing Styles:

orange...no there isnt any mesh on the sides of the landing strip...its 4 or 5 diamonds of 10d mesh in the center of the head like a corner pocket

Blade 2.0 looks really wide, I wonder if it passes '09 NCAA specs.

And I like how they have orange on the pointer finger and pinky finger on the shockers palms, if only the middle finger was orange too, that would be the truck shocker glove.

Blade 2.0 dosen't look that good. It has almost no flare or pinch. Wasn't the flare and the pinch the signature of the original blade???? (I have 2 original baldes.)

JLomer, i missed that they came out with an mpg 6.5...i posted the pics, and i posted more pics of the shoes, i couldnt get pics of the descriptions but i summarized it in my first post..theyre basically lighter and redesigned versions of the speed burn, but the burn 2.0 is detach and the speed 2.0 is molded

A warrior rep came to my camp yesterday he said the stifi is gonna be 130 unstrung, and the woodrow was going to be about 90 he said the prices of some other things but i cant remeber them. He also brought most of the new equipment. All the new gloves were realy comfortable.

at a camp a rep came and brought all this stuff. the limited pink macs are so lame and feel and play the same as normal macs, the superfreak 2.0's are effin sick they are sooo comfy, woodrow feels so nice, has a great feel shape and texture if youre a fan of smoother shaft its for you. i wasnt a fan of the tactical nor and of the ag/ap way to bulky and fancy lookin ill stick with my k18s and they werent even very flexible, the sp's same style as normal just different design wat warrior always does with their sp's, shockers were so light and comfortable idk how much i liked the palm tho, there was a strip goin down the center of the palm like on a deft kind of makin it thick, i got to play with my coaches stiffi and it was VERY stiff near the throat but i dont think it affects checks very much since the rod is down by the throat but it keeps its shape and will probably not warp the least bit, was also very very light for having titanium in it, the f-off was sick and im an attackman and the blade 2.0 was very stiff kind of like a clutchs flexibility which was surprising because blades are loved for their flexibility. and thats about it i think...

I don't get the shorter sidewall thing of the f-off for two reasons one being your pocket would be messed up, and two, with college rules i don't see much of an advantage. Everyone starts on either side of the 4 inch line... so really i guess all your getting is your top sidewall of the ball a bit, but either way you still have to move the same distance with you stick than any other guy.

laxgoaliebm16.....the funk off is the same bag as the blackhole exept in one side (looks like where the cleat/dirty/wet pad part usually is), there is fan that vents the bag out, taking air from outside in....you have to plug it into something in order to work the fan and the fan is extremly durable industrial strenth and can handle all elements and also it is removable..ill post pics soon as well as the stringing stand which is literally a metal sheet with a small metal box in the middle above it with 6 inches of a shaft in it to put your head in place...the picture is small so ill try to do my best

Hey Everyone the stiffi isnt realy as stiff as you think the top has no titanium in it so it just bends and the back part will probally break just like the ones on alll of the pro lines.

helmet looks like theyre going to be good. well probably see princeton with them next year. and mll might go to them if they decide to drop cascade. if they come out soon enough i might definetely be getting one....they looks sick.

holy crap the stiffi is 135 unstrung!? that is a lot of money. but it isn't over priced because of the titanium.

The Warrior salesmen are licking their lips like wolves watching a herd of sheep.

$135 is a lot of money. Especially when you actually have to go out and earn it. Maybe at your youthful age of 16, everything is handed to you and you don't worry about it, but Warrior has been stuffing its pockets with the money from kids whose parents just throw it at them.

Unfortunately, lacrosse gear will keep going up in price. I will be buying and trading on the forums. I have yet to purchase a piece of equipment from an online store and will refuse to until I no longer have access to any other venue.

I might be complaining about general pricing of gear, but the cost if one thing that prevents the furthering of the sport.

Especially when a staple company like Warrior (owner of MLL), charges $135 for a head with a thin wire running through it. It is plain outrageous. Especially that kids think its worth so much more because it has titanium. Big freaking deal. Buy two other heads for that price. That is the cost of two torques, or two of a whole lot of other heads.

I'm about half interested in the shockers, but I also like kings...I think I can get another season out of my defts regardless..
