I was wondering what are people's experiences with original razers on a d-pole? I am trying out a razer pro 2.0 and it is amazing on poke checks, but on slap checks it'll def. warp. I've heard original razers are stiff and ver good for d, but can someone attest to this and explain its durability and stiffness?

I used a razer when I played pole but it broke in its 4th game off of a hard slap check and then i used my razer pro 2.0 and it warped a little after a while but i got it back to normal after 15 minutes of messing around with it.

Just use something that'll tide you over till the Excalibur comes out. You'll go running for it, I guarantee.

Razors are stiffer than razor pros. A razor can definitely hold up on D. I used one on my Dpole and It lasted me a great amount of time until it cracked on a sidewall. Try the razor 2.0. It's the same as a original razor, except it has a better scoop, and more stringing holes.

i had a razer, and it's on my top 5 d head list, somewhere behind the proton, x2 and bionic

it's nice and stiff, has a good scoop for GB's and it doesn't warp like the pro's and 2.0's do

get one and like cali said, you'll probably get an xcaliber

Id go for a Proton if I were you. Razers are prone to breaking on D.

I used a Razor, but everyone else said, it broke. But I love the Revo Pro. I have three. Though like the Evo Pro, the bottom of the head gets pintched over time, so you have to put a baseball in it. But I've been using them for 2 years now and I have yet to break one

I've had 2 revo pro's and they warped very easily from some slap checks and poke checks. I'm using 3 clutches now, but I want to try something different. Does anyone know about the orignal revo also?

Stay away from original revos on D. I've gone through 2 revos and a revo pro. All of them warped in a week and broke at the same exact spot. If you really want a stiff head that will hold up try looking for an Edge, proton, E3, Wizard, Chaos, or any head from Mohawk.

I know a guy who plays for Auburn and he uses a Razer pinched to look like a Primer. He says he loves it and has lasted pretty long. So I guess it can hold up in College Club. But also the high heat+high humidity in Alabama might make the head last a little longer.

doesn't that make the head flexible?

get a mohawk head, try the mach 1 or mission.

or a wizard or chaos

razers arent bad, but they arent the best. i'd say they are deffinatly better than their popular brother the razer pro. i used the razer pro, and it's alright for D, but it warps too easily. plus the throat on the razor pro is unbelievably weak. the best feature about the razer pro is the shape, but deffinatly not the stregth. although razers are alot more tough than razer pro, i'd just suggest going with a differnt head. there are better heads for around teh same price and a nice flared sidewall(if thats what you are looking for)

as my defense list would go, to show where a razer on defense would be in comparison, but not necisarily my preference cause everyone likes different things but...

X2
H2
Bionic
Mohawk Mission (i think it was mission, it was my friends)
Wizard
Proton
Razer
Revo
etc.

all good defense heads, wide and solid and stiff. for more pinched heads on defense a razer would be higher up though.

I fiddled around with a Razer on my longpole when it came out in the off-season, but I (personally) pick off a ton of passes, and the flared face, along with ANY pinched head, means less pickoffs, and less room to land checks.

I've posted this a billion times, but in my line of experience, the best defense heads are...

1)Edge
2)X2
3)Revolution
4)Wizard
5)Bionic

It's all subjective, and it's all opinion--but picking off passes is a big part of my game, so I'll take a wide head any day over a pinched head...
