Alright, so after a few years with my old Hypno gloves, I am finally in the market for something new. I've been searching the web for about a week, and I've come down to either the STX IPro's or Warrior Superstar II's. I've read about every review from laxnation to laxshopper, to right here on TLF. From all that research, I've come to the conclusion that the IPros might have better protection while the Superstars are more comfortable. Other than that everything I've read is that they are both two excellent gloves. So now I need your input. I only want opinions from people that have had both, becuase if you only have had one of them and say "IPros are awesome get them" that doesn't help. From those of you that have had both I want to know all you can give me. Tell me...
Durability: which ones lasted longer? Did the seams come undone quickly in one of them? Did the backhand wear out? Were there holes in the palms after a while?
Protection: Pretty basic stuff. Which gloves did you feel checks the least? And I'm particularly interested in the wrist protection, so that info would be great to provide.
Comfort/Flexibility/Fit: Were both tight and snug on the hands rather than loose? Which ones felt more like real gloves? Tell me which one's you would rather wear if you had to write an essay with them on.
All those questions are just preliminary start up q's so just tell me all you know. And I know everyone says this, but please don't make this a preference thread of "I love Superstars!!!". Your input means a lot and would really help me out. Thanks

I had superstar 2s, and the palms din't wear out until my second season.
I-pros had a more solid backhand and fingers, limiting mobility but it def. hurt less. The superstar 2s were tighter than my ipros, but try both on for the sake of your own hands

Can I get some input for why you think the superstar's are better?

i have the ipros and durability wise i dont have any tears and this is after starting on varsity for two seasons so their durability is legit. flexibility gets better after each use and protection wise it doesnt get any better i havent had anu swollen or bruised fingers from getting checked and i play attack never had any bruises on my wrists either. i do find the little wrist cuff kind of pointless but its a nice little additions and ventilation isnt horrible but could be better. fitting wise its not tight like exodus' but its tight enough so your hands dont slip out or anything but its loose enough to get your hands in and out quickly

SSII's, sacrifice a little bit of protection (not that much) for comfort.

Alright, here's the deal...I have owned Ipros for a year and they were phenomenal gloves. What I liked about them was that they were the most flexible gloves I ever tried on. I tried on SSIIs, I tried on Macs, I tried on Mutants, I tried on G - Forces, but I could not find a glove more flexible than the Ipros! They are also super protective and I play attack, so I have to have protective gloves. They were very well made to! No rips at all.
The downside to Ipros...
They are semi comfy - The palms are mesh mostly (I actually like that because it makes it easier to grip the shaft, while in the SSIIs, the palms are leather, so it feels thick, but very comfy!)
Not as many cool colors as SSIIs...I had black ones, but they do look nice!
That's my look on them, hope that helped!

I love the I-Pros. I have had mine for over a year now and they still look pristine. Go with the I-Pros, they're possibly the best gloves I have ever used.

My friend has ipros and they feel comparable to mac daddies in flexability, they also seem to hold up pretty well and theyre comfortable.

ssIIs I tried on in the store and someone hit the top hand with a shaft and it hurt like crap. They didnt impress me that much

With those two options I would get the ipros, but have you considered the superfreaks? Most warrior gloves are practically the same thing. Superfreaks are basically sIIs with more protection, I like em

I would try Superfreaks, but there a bit expensive, and for much less the IPros probably have better protection.

Okay, so far it seems you guys like the IPros better than the Superstars. They seem to have better protection but a little less comfort, and after having had Hypnos for a few years, they will probably still feel very comfortable. I'm still debating though, so keep posting, it's really helping out.
