I am going to OC this week for vacation, looking forward to it, I am bringing all the boards, etc. What I wanted to know, is there any lax stores in the OC or surrounding areas in case it rains and I want to kill a hour or two. I went last year and the Lax store was a combo surf shop and his inventory was weak as was the store, more like a t shirt dump with girls sticks and 1 or 2 gloves on the wall? Thax

I think there is like one shop on the boardwalk that has ministicks or something. I wouldn't expect too much. It's probably the store your talking about. I'm pretty sure that's it.

The only lax store I know is the Lax Shack (which from what you infer is the one you went to and didn't care for...).

However, one thing this week you'll be able to partake of is the Ocean City Classic, which is held every year in Northside Park. You'll get to see some of the top club teams go at it this coming weekend (I believe Master's games start this Thursday). It's a good tournament to catch and while the formation of the MLL stole a lot of the star power it used to have in years past, you'll still see some really good lax. I urge you to check it out.

PM Mainlax28 if he doesn't post in this thread. I think he might live in/near Ocean City because he was selling Ocean City lacrosse shirts and hats, and he says he works at a lax store, so there has to be one around.

my teams going to the oc tourney, friday and sat are games, and championship is on sunday. its on 146st. im sure there will be a lot of gear there you can buy

If you go to the tourney and look closely you will se a number of MLL players from the teams that did not make the playoffs, as well as, some very good college talent playing.

Closest legit lax stores are mainly in Salisbury (half hour away) and in Rehoboth (where i live, which is 45 min away). Other then that, there isn't too much around.
