I got a job selling sporting goods, I was listening to the Oakley vendor talk today about the rubberized substance Oakley uses on their ear socks nad nose pieces which they call Unabtainium. He said that when it gets wet, i.e., sweat, it actually helps stick to the skin better. I know that when my hands get sweaty, my stick starts to slip so I got to thinking about putting some of that type jank on my stick. Does anyone use something tacky like that to get a better grip? I know many ppl use tape, maybe I haven't found the right tape to do the job.

I hear the Harrow reacts well when wet...

This is a bit :off , but I have sissy grip strength, and have recently resorted to using a bicycle grip on my goalie shafts...I play Indoor goalie where the stick is down covering the "five hole" like a hockey goalie...Sometimes shots would hit the head yet still go through because it would manage to spin the head around. Not no mo since I began using a bicycle grip (saw it on e-lacrosse)...And it's legal, I checked.

same here. if its a real hot day my gloves get attached to my tape.

the only problem with more grip, is that it would be a little harder to shift your hands up and down your shaft for passing, catching, shooting.

i only use tape on the end cap, a small piece where my top hand is when shooting and a small piece just below the head for creadling and faceoff grip

I Play D and i throw all those crazy checks; i.e. the kayak, the wrap around and the rusty gate(which is possible with a long pole just so everyone knows) but i tape my stick in a candy cane pattern so that some of the shaft is still showing. it works great to throw checks and its the perfect amount of grip. plus it looks cool. ...

i never use tape... i even cover the tape at the butt end with electrical tape to make it smooth... i hate it when my stick gets sticky from the humidity

yeah so do i. when i frist put tape on and it is sticky, i put baby powder on it. it takes away the stickiness so its nice and smooth and makes it smell good. :laugh i know this sounds weird but it works for me.

the spot where you put tape keeps its original color while the rest of the shaft lightens in color.unless you have a silver shaft. anyway. as long as you can cradle and control your stick with no tape or whatever, and have good stick protection, you dont really need anyting to help with grip.
