Question about shipping a shaft

Confused on which thread this should be in, I need to ship an attack shaft out would it be alright for me to put it in a cardboard tube? its from the center of a thing of wrapping paper, and im going to wrap it a few times with brown shipping paper.

All I use to ship my Woodies is brown shipping paper. No problems. But I buy tracking and insurance also.

i think that would work but i would just go to your local post office and they will fit it in a cardboard tube...ex:
