XBox 360 HELP!!!

Whenever I play gears of war online I have a really choppy framerate, and when I try to play coop, it goes to the loading screen, then it takes me to the Xbox 360 Homeplace, and I get a message that says "The game is scratched or dirty, try cleaning it or restarting the game." However, I can play split screen co-op, and I can play campaign fine.

I checked my network connection, and I have all the bars, and the connection is green, So I don't think its the connection. I think it is either my game or the system. I got the system refurbished and it has a one year warrenty, and I bought the game used.

I would check to see if its the game by just plying another game, but I don't have any yet.

What should I do?

this happened 2 my forza 2. theres a scratch on the disc where the info for online play is. so get a scrtch fixer machine from game-stop or buy a new gears of war.

ya get the scratch cleaner, or you can evn go to gamestop and they can take the scratched out of it for you for much less money

Rent a game and swap the disks, or if its new enough return it to the store and get a new disk.

my gears got messed up (my friend flipped my 360 while it was in the 360 RUNNING cause he thought it was supposed to be able to move it or something) and I took it back to best buy and they didnt even look at it
