Does anyone own one? Could you tell me any special needs for them and if they're a good pet? I'm interested in getting one they seem really interesting pets to have. But I've heard of bad odor and I don't want a bad smelling room and whatnot haha. Just a discussion about them I just want to learn more about them, and I'd rather not read wikipedia and ferret sites when I can get a direct opinion from you all.

My friend had one. All i can say is be prepared for poop, and i hope you dont mind all of your socks mysteriously disappearing. They are hard to catch too.

They crap all over the place, stink, eat stuff, and bite. They aren't worth the effort.

Yeah, but dogs are BA. You can't sic a ferret on someone.

Or can you?

I believe they're illegal in California, due to a ferret mauling and killing a baby a while ago.

Don't quote me on that though.
