All out with 300 cosutume for football game???

Every year we have a theme for our football game against our rival high school. This year it is a 300 theme. AWESOME!!!

Should I go all out and buy a $65 costume for the game or should I just scrounge up stuff from around my house???

Just don't wear a shirt, but do wear a cape...get a face beard...easy.

Scrounge. $65 is way too much for a costume, no matter how intense this rivalry is. Some facepaint would probably suffice.

Uhhhh they didn't exactly wear face paint. I'd just get a nice cape, a shield like thing, and wear a speedo or something.

personally id find it pretty unintimidating and funny if i was about to play a team playing dress up. Have the entire team learn the haka - an entire team screaming a tribal death chant at the opposition, thats intimidating

I agree with the haka, my rugby team learned it one week when all our of coaches were away and it was captains practice, sure seems to intimidiate the other team

What you need

-bucket - Helmet
-towel - Cape
-electrical tape - facial hair
-neon red speedo + goalie chest pad thats painted tan
-blade full stick - sword

and a Persian so you can do the "THIS IS SPARTA" reenactment.

for some reason the people that scrounge look either better or just everyone likes because its more creative usually. all you need is a red sheet a brown speedo and a couple of brown belts... and a shield and spear of course maybe go out and buy the fake beard though... i only knew three or four guys in my highschool that could grow beards that full...

I saw a lame costume with fake muscles, not sure if it is the $65 dollar one. Buy a sweet war helmet and then make a cool costume but make sure it doesn't look cheap. Get a sweet sword also, that would be expensive unless you have sweet swords like me.

I found a place that has a full Leonidas helmet with the huge black mohawk for $47 and a spartan sword for $6.50. Just buy that and scrounge for the rest??

I would look into one of the fancy helmets, then just wear a sheet as a cape and buy a fake sword and if you can't grow a beard buy a fake one.

Pay for the helmet only. Its the only thing you cant really fake, plus then youre the beast with a Spartan helmet. That thing would come in handy often. Just think of college. In fact, i might go buy one now

yeah, then all you need is a brown speedo and four or five brown belts, and a red sheet... make sure its a crimson red though

Definitely. Party City has fake plastic swords, and helmets and stuff for Halloween and stuff.
