I decided to make a thread for any 360 game/demo discussion ex, tips, hype for any upcoming games, anything really you want to say about a game.

Alright so i'll go first, right now i am really pumped up for the game John Woo Presents Stranglehold. I first heard about this game when ign.com first realeased pictures of it. They have the demo on the marketplace, too me its like a Bond and Jackie Chan mixed. Very good graphics, not very realistic but i think that makes it a lot more fun. So my point is, Download this demo!

I can't wait for Halo 2 to come out. The original Halo was so good. I hope you can duel wield weapons and stuff...

i downloaded it and just played it, and i have to say that i absolutely hated it. I'm looking forward to Skate, i havent heard anything recently about it so it could have gotten hung up in production, ill have to look into it. Medal of Honor Airborne and Call of Duty 4 are two that will be at the top of my list of games. And next week Bioshock comes out and i played the demo and was really impressed with it so im going to pick that up when its out.

Medal of Honor Airborne- September 2007 for 360 (November for PS3)
Grand Theft Auto IV- February-April 2008
Guitar Hero III- Couldn't find a reliable date.. somewhere between November 2007-March 2008 is the best i can do

With all due respect, those games all look really mediocre.

I disagree.

nhl 08- it will have almost full customizeble things. You can custom ize the players curves and goalies pads.

nfs pro street- I like all need for speeds.

tony hawk 9- The last couple ones did suck but I will still buy it. I will wait a couple weeks and buy it used.

fif08- fifa games are always amazing every year.

NHL '08- good every year. call it a rehash or not but i have everyone since '98

NFS- eh, dont like them so.. whatever

Tony Hawk- ill probably buy it.. if Skate is that much better i wont waste my time. they get more and more unrealistic every year.

Well sense I am coming from a ps2, it will all be different.

Really you could say that about every game. Sure its the same concept and stuff, but there is updated graphics, rosters, levels, cars, game play. and more realistic.

The nhl 08 lets you play minor league teams now as well, and watch a kid go through minors to the nhl. You have never been able to customize a player or team to the extent that yo can for 08

nfs pro- It will have new cars, levels, parts, upgrades, and graphics.

tony hawk 9- It focuses more on real tricks, and has more stories that make the game more real compared to other years.

fifa 08- Better kicking, more stadiums, 30 leagues, and like 15,000 real players.



Is it possible that I just beat laxhandle in a debate? Probably not. lol

There are 4 links that show its release date. Also, the first isnt a tuesday. Games and movies come out on tuesdays.

Yeah, you could say that about every game, but it only goes so far. With sports games such as FIFA and NHL you just get the same hockey game every year, except it's always just a little more customizable, the graphics look a little bit better, and there are a few neat new features glommed on that will receive limited usage.

Now, with NFS, I'm a tad bit biased because I have an unbridled hatred for the series, but I'll try to be as fair as possible.

It always goes the same way with the Need for Speed series. It's hyped up more than the second coming of Christ, and never fails to disappoint. What's the premise of this one? You're a rebel street racer trying to work your way up through the ranks to become the "street king?" These games always have some fundamental tweak that's marketed far more than it actually weighs into account in the actual game. It piques your interest enough to warrant a rent, and then ends up being the same game. Who knows, maybe I'll put my foot in my mouth and this game will truly be different. But I wouldn't count on it.

Finally, as for Tony Hawk, I'm frankly disgusted by the path this franchise has taken. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 still ranks as one of my favorite games of all time -- undoubtedly it has the best soundtrack -- but the past, say, three games have been absolute junk. The Underground games were a disgrace. The plot was incoherent, boring, and chaotic. Not a good combination. And at that point, you'd played the same combo-based skater a million times, so the story is really all that kept it fresh. Or rather, was supposed to. While Project 8 was slightly better, it was still just a rehash. The features they tried to market as life-changing ended up being almost useless. And although the plot wasn't as silly as T.H.U.G.'s, it was still boring.

Now again, I may be wrong, and Neversoft might really change the core of this game enough to make it fresh, but I doubt it. I'll be quite happy with Skate.

I see your point with need for speed, and I will probably will just rent it sense I will beat i in a matter of a couple days anyway.

With nhl 08 there will be some evolutionary things in there. Simple stuff, but it makes it more real. You will now be able to move the puck into an open space so you can pull of a deke or better shot. You will now turn better to. Things like the way the equipment looks will be better to.

Hockey is my first love. I have been playing sense I was like 7. Even if the game sucks I still buy it just to support it. Maybe I would be the one buyer that puts it over the mark they needed to sell and keep making it so other kids will play it and want to play the real thing to.

I would do the same with a lax game to if that ever happens.

EA Skate- Sept. 12

I really hope this game is better than the tony hawk games, like laxhandle said, the latest tony hawk games have been junk. I personnally think that Project 8, American Wasteland, and the THUG games are really unrealistic, even more so than the pro skater games because in the lastest games your supposed to be a upcoming Am. not a Pro who can do all kinds of crazy tricks. I mean what Am can do a 720 on a halfpiupe 3 times in a row or wallride up a building and grind on the edge of the roof? At least in the THPS series you were a pro who actually had those skills and had to use them. The only really good new feature the latest games have had is Nail the Trick, where you controll your skaters feet in slow motion to do flip tricks. Well lets just say I hope EA Skate does something new and innovative.

guess its just not my kind of game. its to much like GTA from what i saw, but i wasnt impressed at all. But im also they guy who hated GOW. The gameplay didnt seem to be that great and whenever you ran into something you would slide across it, after a while that got pretty annoying.
