1=2
thats how it is
a=b
a^2=ab
a^2+a^2=a^2+ab
2a^2=a^2+ab
2a^2-2ab=a^2+ab-2ab
2(a^2-ab)=1(a^2-ab)
2=1
thoughts?
obviously 1 does not equal 2, does anyone know why not?

zomg!!! chair= Jell-O i can prove it!
Jell-O is tasty
jell-O is made then put in a fridge
Once Jell-o is cooled and hardened to a jelly state we remove it
we sit in chairs
we sit in chairs while we eat jello
there for Chair= Jell-O
Harvard here i come!

let a = b
aČ = ab
Multiply both sides by a
aČ + aČ - 2ab = ab + aČ - 2ab
Add (aČ - 2ab) to both sides
2(aČ - ab) = aČ - ab
Factor the left, and collect like terms on the right
2 = 1
Divide both sides by (aČ - ab)
OR IF YOU LIKE COMPLEX NUMBERS
-Step1: 1/1 = 1/-1
Step 2: Taking the square root of both sides:
Step 3: Simplifying:
Step 4: In other words, i/1 = 1/i.
Step 5: Therefore, i / 2 = 1 / (2i),
Step 6: i/2 + 3/(2i) = 1/(2i) + 3/(2i),
Step 7: i (i/2 + 3/(2i) ) = i ( 1/(2i) + 3/(2i) ),
Step 8: ,
Step 9: (-1)/2 + 3/2 = 1/2 + 3/2,
Step 10: and this shows that 1=2.

These are pretty simple.
1=2
thats how it is
a=b
a^2=ab
a^2+a^2=a^2+ab
2a^2=a^2+ab
2a^2-2ab=a^2+ab-2ab
2(a^2-ab)=1(a^2-ab)
2=1
thoughts?
obviously 1 does not equal 2, does anyone know why not?
To begin with, you can't use the parenthesis like that in the second to last line. It should read 2(a^2)-ab=1(a^2-ab) so then you couldn't divide by (a^2-ab). Even if you could though, you can't divide by zero, which that happens to equal.
let a = b
a² = ab
Multiply both sides by a
a² + a² - 2ab = ab + a² - 2ab
Add (a² - 2ab) to both sides
2(a² - ab) = a² - ab
Factor the left, and collect like terms on the right
2 = 1
Divide both sides by (a² - ab)
Same thing here, you can't divide by zero. The rest looks fine as far as I can tell.
Step 4 is not true. The Sq. rt. of 1/1 is 1 (although I think you meant -1/1 so then i/1 or just i is correct) but then the sq. rt. of 1/-1 (aka -1) is i not 1/i
