I used to be like thirty pounds overweight; I lost 30-35 pounds over summer. How do I get rid of the extra stretched-out skin? It's around the boobie area. :wow: And stomach.

Thanks.

Lose even more weight. It may sound rediculous, but its the only way. Your skin is stretched out because you still have fatty tissues where it used to be. When you lose fat, it burns from the inside out. The innermost fat has been burned, but the outer layer is still there, so the skin wont tighten up. If you lose a bit more weight, it will tighten up.

Do lots of pec exercises. Try and do some bench pressing and some hammer strenght machines that work your pecs. Do lots of situps to get rid of that extra skin around your waist. Also try different variations if situps.

If I just increase muscle mass, won't it be even more stretched out when/if I lose my muscle?

hm... exactly how much skin is there? I have stretch marks on my legs but that's not stretched out skin. Hm... burn more fat? Not sure if that would work. I'd go with the suggestion of building muscle. Would help fill in the empty spaces.

See a dermatologist, all you'll probably find here is speculation. I went to one for skin cancer checks and he gave me a prescription for stuff for stretch marks. If you go and get some of that I can tell you a little about it, but that's it.

There are no stretch marks. It's just flabby skin.

Shrug, I'm no dermatologist, but I figure you can't be the only one with that phenomenon. If it's bad/annoying, I would see one, it should be covered by insurance (especially if referred by general physician).

How can doing situps get rid of extra skin?

I lost 25 pounds, though. It's just like not seriously bad. Just not tight. I still haven't got to running, yet.

well once you grow extra skin, i dont see how it could un-grow. i would just eat a ton and workout and be huge and strong. whats wrong with that?

Well, I don't know if I want to be huge and strong. Plus, it's kind of difficult for me. I don't have the kind of body that can be huge OR strong.

im sure you could be strong if you started lifting and stuff. anyone can. if you train low volume, high intensity, and eat a ton, your weight will go up and your stregnth will skyrocket also.

Yeah, but I'm asian. My dad is 5'3'', and my mom is 5'1''.
But I guess I can start lifting, I guess so.

So just bench low weights, but a lot of reps?
And sit-ups?

hey I just noticed the thread title is the beatles... lol cool

anyways, small weight high reps makes muscle more dense, so if you're trying to accomodate skin, use high weight low reps for mass.

My tips for you:

1. Start smoking (cigs). It kills your appetite, so you lose weight.
2. If number 1 isn't your thing, try getting addicted to heroin or speed or PCP. It'll get you skinny quick.
3. Shave off you eyebrows
4. Pretend you're Billy Idol and bleach your hair and walk around in tight black jeans and a leather motorcycle jacket and wear black eyeshadow. And a lot of chains.
5. Go to parties all the time and hook up with ugly chicks
6. Run 3 miles a day
7. Stop being such a damn fat ***. Hey that's not a van, it's just a fat kid.
8. Go homeless and have to beg for change to buy 40s
9. Do a lot of whippets
10. Join a gang
11. Start a revolution at your school, unless you go to private school, because that's kinda hypocritical
12. Don't listen to any pop punk bands. Ever.
13. Get a pen name and start tagging hella stuff. Spread your name, claim your turf.
14. Get a job, slacker.

either you want to start lifting or you dont. If you want to get massive and be strong or stay skinny and be quick, lifting can help you, its just two different types of training. shoot me a PM if you want to learn the basics(all i know).
