This game was just released today, who got it? I've been waiting a long time for it and will be picking up my copy tomorrow right after I get paid. I'm excited for the game changes, but most of all I'm excited for the updated rosters and the new uniforms!!

the guy at the store told me it comes out oct 2 though.

yes it is. yes it is..it may be hard at first though..even playing co-op 2 players on each team is difficult but this is probably alot different.

interactive online leagues are also a really cool feature..say your favorite team is liverpool..and lpool is playing chelsea that week...you will be matched up against someone who has chelsea as their fav team.

it also looks like they are bringing back the tricks. O YEAH!

btw: everything i am talking about applies to the 360..dont quote me on that for other consoles.

Man, I only recently got FIFA 07! And there are so many other good games, I'll go broke trying to buy them all. We have Halo 3 obviously, Call of Duty 4 and Battlefield: Bad Company are others in the future, and FIFA 08 is coming out? Jeez.

They had the interactive leagues in 07 too. It looks pretty good, and I'm excited about playing as one player on the team. The only problem I could see is getting a team of 10 players (who would wanna play as the 'keeper?) together could be hard.

It really is, but I still prefer WE.Its a much better game, IMO. Unfortunetely, licensing is an issue, but otherwise, its perfect.

i heard a rumour that they would have the entire EPL licensed. they have most of the big teams licensed as it is.

Yeah but that's also always up in the air, as they always struggle with licenses. Last year they added Arsenal's license as well as carry many of the other top flight leagues in their entirety, but the Bundesliga completely disappeared save for Bayern-Munich.

Yea, I do. But I play it for the 360. And I've played both WE and Fifa, and I liked WE by a Mile. Not to knock on Fifa, but its just a sub par game. The game play of WE is spectacular. And the harder levels make the game so realistic. If WE had Fifa's licensing, there would be no doubt which game is the better one.

Isn't it interesting that EA Sports buys as much licensing as possible- and consequentially drops the standard on its games? Madden made huge strides when it had to compete with ESPN NFL (which was to me the better game), but after the buy-out, there hadn't been any huge strides since 04.

I agree with The Gunslinger. I like fifa much more than Winning Eleven.
On a different note, fifa 08 should be very good. They are adding a couple more leagues, and that new online play should be cool

more realistic, better AI, harder to score. but other than that its not better.

Its terrible. You can't even tackle. It is impossible to pursue the ball carrier, you cant tacklr from any position - the man with the ball just turns his back. Lame that they made as soccer game just like soccer...

But I did just beat my brother 4-3 online in 07, so whatever.

I'm going to be renting this one. So disppointed.

Yea, that really is. No one wants to play soccer on the PS2 like it is in real life. The unreality of the game makes it a lot better.

are you playing on 360? i didnt have this problem..i like the new one..the main thing about it is that it brought back tricks. and the gameplay is more realistic/less repetitive. it just takes like 10 games to get used to it..like all new fifas.

I just got it. Played 2 games. It's... interesting. Defense is much more realistic. They changed some of the controls which I don't appreciate. Once again they've underrated a bunch of Blackburn Rovers' players. Shooting seems to be less realistic.

I picked it up today. Game looks amazing. Change of controls are going to take a little getting used to. Hopefully it shows significant improvement in the AI from '07 which was brutal.

I'll be honest, I'm not liking the "Manual Crossing" and "Manual Passing". Now, a "regular" through ball is absolutely worthless, and crossing is extremely difficult.
