View Full Version : I Need Help Picking A New Shaft

I may be new on here, but I know what preference threads are, so I want to keep this thread from turning into one. I am looking to buy a new shaft, and I can't decide. I am a middie who plays offense and defense, and I also take the wings for faceoffs, so I need a stick that's going to hold up. I like grip and strength, and I dislike a brittle feel and dents. Thanks.

Get a Vandium Grip. They are very strong. My friend has one, and it broke a k pro d pole. And barley got a dent on the Vandium Grip.
They are also cheap $60.00

I have seen a lot of guys use the STX Vanadium Grip. I was thinking about the Brine SC21 CG or the Warrior CG Hero. I have never seen the Brine SC21 CG, but my friend has the Warrior CG Hero, and it has a really nice grip. Does anyone know anything about the Warrior CG Hero's durability?

You could also check out the warrior diamond, the new or old one. It is strong, not too expensive and is grippy in the sense that its like sandpaper. I personally have the standard vanadium and the standard sc21 and both are great shafts so the grip would probably make you like them even more. Both those shafts are great, light and tough.

Does the STX Vanadium Grip have the grip that the Harrow shafts do? I don't like the grip that the Harrow shafts have because I think that they are a little too tacky.

Your best bet would be to go to a local store and check it out. I personally haven't felt the grips of the vanadium or the sc21. The only one that I have felt is the Warrior Diamond. I would assume that the grip would be similar to a harrow shaft.

Yea, I got a Vandium Grip. Its a Butterfly shape shaft. With Black grip, which is a little sticky without gloves.

I think I am going to get the Warrior CG Hero. The Brine SC21 CG and the STX Vanadium Grip have the rubberized grip, which is similiar to the Harrow shafts. Thanks.

The hero chips a ton. The grips rubs off, so it smooth just the split-shaft.
