Thats freaking rediculous, the one shaft they snap is a dolomite. If i played defense and had the money i would definitely buy these. That flex is unreal too.

No shaft is worth $200
wow thats really quite impressive...the flex is great...im amazed they came up with two shafts, one for quick stick checkers and one for "laying some wood"..they are abit pricey $190 for protector 60 and $205 for Beast...id lvoe one but very expensive

A shaft with a durability record like that will last longer than any other and i think is definatly worth the money apart from the fact how many dolomites, sc+ti's and ti22's you can break with it.

But under normal circumstances, how many times do you get a baseball swing from 4 feet away into a perfectly laid down stick with pressure pushing it into the ground? It might show them breaking shafts, but it isn't a controlled test.
They should show them in game play, sure they'd flex, but they won't break a stick. It would fly out of the offensive player's hands.

Don't know about you, but I dont think there's anything wrong with having it "fly out of the offensive player's hands." :-)
But yeah, I agree, I want to see some game testing.

I bought one at the beginning of the summer. Love it. The kanuga grip is really nice - great control and good power.

I wonder how many shafts they broke standing on them before getting one that held up for long enough

They didn't brake.

It wouldn't be hard to make up a super thick (heavy) sample for the demo. You or I wouldn't ever know it, but the shaft could weigh a ton...Warrior used to do that, they would have a shorty Tti that was about 11 oz and brak other shafts with it.

great point, but still an original design and much props to talon. what I would really like to see is the dolomite or another shaft get a couple free hits on the talon as a comparison.. that seems to be a problem with many review videos, no company will test the durability of their shaft by a check

Oh, by the way the shafts they checked were a Krypto Pro, Titan Classic, and Dolomite. I guess they have something against Warrior... :nahya:

No they don't. They used those shafts because tons of people used those shafts and they are popular.

Warrior is one of the leading companies who manufactures shafts.
Warrior's shafts are on average a little more expensive than other companies. In order for this new company (whoever makes the talon and beast) to justify their extremely high prices, they have to show these shafts breaking their competition's shafts with relative ease (hence the baseball swing from 4 feet). How great is this shaft? I will never know because I won't buy one.
The fact that they show them breaking the competition's shafts doesn't prove anything because how often are there the opportunities to swing 3 or 4 times against a stationary shaft as hard as you can with full wind up? Good marketing but its misleading.
The flex test shows them standing on the shaft, but the shaft has enough overlap on each chair that it can flex but not too much. It should show the flex test with just maybe 2 inches on the chair at either end of the pole.

correct me if i am wrong, but he is flexing his pole around to hit stick when he is hacking at his arm? i blieve that would define flexibility pretty well for the shaft...However, i agree the flex test with the chairs does prove flexible however does the shaft then hold that shape or go back to normal? think of doing that with a metal shaft and the thing bending and holding that bowed shape

i looked up how much they weigh, like 550 grams, a harrow pole is like 400 and those are really heavy, so i im pretty sure the lead pipe at home depot could do the same damage but for only 15 dollars, im not here to criticize but its also $215
