-Sigh-
Yet another bomb threat at my school today. Don't people ever get that it isnt funny and wonthelp get you out of class? Well maybe it will, but sitting around in bleachers until things are cleared isnt any better. Any body had this happen to them?
And another thing to note, what do your schools do for things like this? Our school is extremely hypocritical, I've found. The threat was announced at about 9:20. We had come in from a routine earthquake/terrorist/fire/killer bee swarm drill at about 9:07. For the planned drill, everybody ends up in the practice athletic fields. For the bomb threat, we cram all 2400 students into one side of the stadium. Call me crazy, but if there's a possibility of a bomb going off, I dont think condensing everybody into one area (especially an area that the bomber knows you'll go to) is a good idea. But hey, thats just me.
Any thoughts on this?

my school has had over 30 bomb threats since i started going there, none this year yet. I agree that they are really dumb. once we had 2 in one day
:edit: nevermind, we had one yesterday!!!
:edit: and again today!!!
:edit: one more today
:edit: and again... again... one more time(a total of 6 right now)...
(i think im gonna keep this up to date every time we have a bombthreat)

when i was in the forth grade somebody wrote on a stall door in the boys bathroom
a bomb will go off at 11:30
monday morning this october, but
which monday?
My entire school then went into the school yard for like 20 minutes every monday until the police got involved and said it was just a joke. Trust me bomb threats are no joke i was watching the news 3 months ago and a kid got a bunch of chemicals in a water bottle about to set it off the last day of school except it accidently went of in his backpack when he was walking to school, so now his face is permantly dislogded.
also another problem at my school an 8h grader 3 years ago got a teachers email (ex: teacher@bla,com). the kid would email other teachers with threats at this email, teacher.@bla.com. so it looked like teacher with the similar address was sending it. The kid was incredably stupid because a teacher works for AOL at my school so she can track him down. after a couple of days a police team combined with an AOL team took the kid outta class. BTW he didnt get expelled just in school.

when i was in 10th grade we had 8 bomb threats. We had the most in the area, and that includes city schools. And everytime it would be during 3rd block. We would end up either walking down to the primary school, or catching a bus down. Then we would sit in the auditorium or gym for about an hour or so, until they called us back in. These things are pointless, it's just kids looking for some attention, and they are trying to get it the wrong way.

Yea, my friend called in a bomb threat. so the next day before they found out he did it. We jumped him, cause hes stupid.(No one would like him if he wasn't sponsored as a skater). He almost got expelled.
Haha reminds me off the like street fight me and my friends had with the abundunce of hispanic kids at our school. It was chaos and funny and fun at the same time. I was the only kid to get away without being suspended.(I'm not racist, this group of kids would be hated whatever race they where)
Back on topic, bomb threats are stupid and the people who call them in just want attention, and people talking about them. so after one you should ignore them and they won't do it anymore.( works most of the time?)

I had a bomb threat at my school when I was a freshman (I'm a senior now), and they had us line up at one entrance. They had a dog smelling our bookbags and such to make sure that no one had a bomb.
I can't believe that my parents made me go to school when there was a bomb threat.

i heard some stat that my school leads NY in Bomb threats. It's funny cause we have around 600 kids and i'm friends with 3 kids who got accused for makeing some.
i go to Irvington, HS in NY, and it's never been an issuse here in the past. they are installing camera's and they've used this as an excuse to ban students from ordering food from off campus to help boost the cafeteria sales
and i'm not gonna lie, i love bombthreats cause i get to miss class, and this year i have no study halls or lunch cause all my classes are AP's or honors so any break is nice

Well that was our old Principal, and he went to the new school, and our old one was my old middle school principal, he handles stuff really well, a bomb went off while at middle school. So he will probaly figure out a great plan for it, like us going home.

wat really blows is when we get threats in the winter and we have to stand outside for an hour while they search the school. lame-o

Bomb threats are awesome because I get to go home and do nothing...Huraay!
My friend had an idea though:
What if you wrote in a note, "Theres a boom box in the school" and then you put a boom box in like some locker or something? His theory is that the school would spaz out and think its a bomb threat and everyone would get out of school. But then he wouldn't get in trouble because he really did have a boom box in his locker. I think it could work...hmmm......
EDIT: Definantly not going to try it though....lol

i agree with slinkyspine, our schools do have a bad system. whos to say that the bomb was where they said it would be? or that some crazy terrorist kid or adult doesnt sneak onto the football field with the other 2100 kids and blow us all to little bitty pieces? man id sure be pissed if i got blown up. my school by the way actually had a bomb go off in the school, it was a battery acid bomb and it destroyed one of the b rooms.

We get them about twice a year, we just go to the elementary school next door and sit in their gym and caf, it really sucks. My dads school had a week where they had one a day, and after that they said the next person who does one gets sent to juvie, and sure enough they got video of them on a payphone. The high school here had the homecoming football game and the dance delayed a month because of a bomb threat two weeks ago.

We had a bomb threat last year. We had to go to the football field and stay there for a couple hours. It was pretty fun.
Our principal was being really dumb though. First he told us that it is possible that the supposed bomb could be triggered by a cellphone, so turn your cell phones off. Then, he went on to say that if you have any info about the threat or bomb, call this number, which he said. That just strikes me as him being dumb. My friends and I were cracking up when he said this.

bomb threats are nothing compared wat happened at my school last year... Ok there was a kid in the highschool who used to be in a gang but he was turning his life around and his old friends didn't like that and they got in a huge fight, well the kid in the highschool was in the city and got shot... then a day later two gangs started fighting over this converisal death and say there gonna come and kill anyone related to him and friends with him and thats a good amount of people 300 mabye( mostly people who live in the city but lie to the state and say they live in our diserct) and they said they were gonna kill his brother who is in my grade so the cops heard about this and there were 20 cop cars on our campus for a week and 200 kids skipped school for like three days

ROTFLMAOOL that's hilarious. . I've never had a bomb threat, I'm in MS, it mostly happens in like HS. I think. But they're just a call for attention (mostly detention) if some people feel, like, I don't know. Then there's the classic "gang" who have a guy write like: I implanted an H-Bomb to go off next thursday at 10:30. Then like, everyone in the gang is watching, giggling, and laughing, and such and such. Like just for laughs. Cough Cough morons Cough Cough. Oh... Whoops... I just made myself soun dlike an idiot...
At my grade school we had a false fire alarm once, and of course my class got blamed (we were the class that misbehaved the most in spanish and the spanish teacher told the principal that it was us.) Turns out it was this one 7th grader. Ahh.... Memories of eigth grade! False fire alarms happen about every week at my friend from Michigan's school. They got the kind of alarms that spray ink every where, so the Seniors who pull the fire alarm gotta be careful!
I hadn't heard this when I posted yesterday, but they printed in the paper that someone in my school wrote a note that the janitor found that was extremely racist and threatened six black students. I guess it's pretty serious, they turned it over to the police. Me and my friends have a good idea of who would have done this, even though we are Stupid Freshman
It just kinda sucks, because someone's gotta get kicked out for that, and they're gonna regret it!

We actually had one like 3 weeks ago for the first time in years..they brought us out and sat ALL 1600 of us on our bleachers which are probably ment to hold 800..they told kids that they couldnt use their cell phones..but, being kids we did. Parents started showing up at the front gate trying to come get their kids and the administration literally wouldnt let parents take their kids home..So, what do angry kids and angry parents do? RIOT! Everyone eventually got fed up and just started leaving..things got crazy and one teacher got knocked out..Im sure they wont be using that same bomb threat proceedure again in our school..

Our school district set the record for the most bomb threats in the US. I live in Lapeer, Michigan. Its next to the most violent city in america which is Flint,Michigan (go figure). We had 23 bomb threats in 1 year, which was in 2005.
One of the times was really stupid because some kid said he dropped a "bomb" in the bathroom. He didnt mean bomb literally, but he was referring to taking a #2 in the bathroom.
A 5th grader at an elementary school wrote "bom" in red marker on the girls bathroom wall. She obviously couldnt spell it correctly. The police caught her and she denied it. Then they asked her to write the word bomb down and she wrote "BOM".
Then we got a new kid at our school. he was a monster, about 6'2" tall and about 230 lbs. He wouldnt talk to anyone and he was on my bus. He said there was a bomb in the school and they had so many cops/firemen/ambulances there. His family had to pay $100,000 and the kid is in a Juvenille camp.
It got so bad that year that there was a $1000 reward for any kid who had enough information to turn someone in. It actually worked.
Its gotten so out of control with the threats that the school district just ignores the threats unless they are extreme. Thats what all of my teachers say because there is about 2 every month at our high school. Kind of freaky....

i was at a movie with my friend and his family, and someone pulled the fire alarm. the staff was throwing free movie passes out like confettie. i ended up with two. my friend's family of seven (they had grandparents in town) ended up with 13 free movie passes! so my friend says "we got how many?"..."WE GOT 13?!!!!!!!" and people just looked at us. It was funny and is gonna save me money on a date ;)
I know, a little off topic. anyway, my school is relatively new (this is the third year it's been open) and i don't think there's been a bomb threat yet. At least not while i've been there

They don't even send us out or anything, they just call the police, search the building, and send a note home to the parents. Every time it has happened in either a stall in the bathroom or on the back of the bathroom door. Now all bathrooms are locked and you can't use any except for two right next to the office, and you have to get a pass from the secretary and then they have to unlock the bathroom door, wait for you, and then lock it again. At my school {an elementary school} some stupid sixth grader last year wrote bomb on the wall and everyone flipped. There was six cop cars, a small bomb squad, and cops were lining the hall for 2 weeks. We were on lockdown in our classroom for 3 hours It was CHAOS!!!
