The "best" D pads are Brine Trident. I hate the 3 piece bulky arm guards and all that nonsense.

It's real silver, too. Warrior only uses the best materials.

brine supercrosse elbow pads are REALLY REALLY flexible. and the protection is not bad. they go for around 40 bucks. I've seen two sizes of them, a middie size and a smaller elbow size (i've tried them on at camps from brine reps), but i cant see the smaller elbow size on sale anywhere. They do have a supercrosse elbow guard though, that has an overexaggerated elbow piece

What's the deal with the ugly, massive chunk of padding hanging onto the Supercrosse Elbow Guard?

I dont know. when i was at my camp a brine rep showed me a defenseman elbow pad similar to the supercrosse "slip on" arm pad (pretty much, it was shortened, and had that same elbow piece). but this new supercrosse elbow pad has some unsightly shell on it.

I like the Trident as well. It's plent flexible, and it's like 20 bucks. Isn't very padded, but it's something you'll have to sacrifice if you dont want to spend a lot of money.

Those warrior defence sleeves are really good. Just make sure you arent going to get chewed to pieces.

what about those warrior neo D things coming out? Not a lot of material for your $20 but they don't look bad.

Wow, pretty sad that you worry about looking gay during a lacrosse game.

Great advice, considering that they're required.

You play against Canadians, you're going to need them! (we're allowed to slash forearms and cross-check upper arms!)
I say either wear them or don't. If you don't wear them though, don't come crying if/when you get chopped!

That's the point, some people don't want any padding.

Vent-X are definately not bad choices for defenders. They are very light, unbulky, yet provide alot of attention if you are tired of getting slashed by those attackmen.
go with the good old Aussie Stubby Holders, i have worn them all season, including the ASPAC's and Australian lacrosse league and didnt have any problems.they are the perfect size, and are guaranteed never to slip down, the padding is also good enough to take a few hits without worry.
you can also promote your favourite drink too. Just dont try to put a beer in them after a game as it slides out the bottom
