On my summer team we ran a defense where we had a box with 2 middies up top and 2 d down low and one guy in the middle who would slide to whomever needs help, and the crease guy statyed on the crease. it worked very well btu i was wondering as a goalie what are other strong defensives that you man run or know about?

adjacent slides, crease slides, zone etc? is that what youre asking? no defense is perfect but they have their benefits

adjacent slides i think do not work to well but bascially whatever you or your team has ahd success with in the past or present

they're (adjacents) more useful in certian situations.. if the offense is in a circle offense then technically you dont have a crease slide.. so you go adjacent.. for it to work i find the defense needs to sluff in more, which also encourages the outside shot and most goalies would prefer the outside shot over one on the crease..
