Being recruited after highschool

Ok, so I live in Canada and I graduated last year with good grades and now attend a local university. I play very high level box and field and have played against some very good players in the US as well. But what Im wondering is because I live in Canada and I didnt pursue being recruited during high school, how would I go about being recruited now? would coaches still be as interested? I have friends and know of other people up here who have done it but im just curious as to what the best way to go about this is.

i think contacting coaches and explaining your decisions and also asking if they are interested. canadiens in america seems to be a popular trend and turn out to be great college lax players....so contact coaches at schools youd like to play at and ask them for advice if they dont accept you.
