alright i ****ed up a dye job trying to do navy blue that turned out purple and then trying to cover that up with a black, i got some wierd kind of maroon color and its ugly as anything. Does anyone know how to get dye off? or if there is something else u can do ?

Try RIT dye remover. It'll get it back to a dark grey'ish color. You should
be able to dye it black properly after that.

Note: Do it outside. The remover reeks!

The same thing happened to me, but I just left it purple. :) Didn't feel like removing the color and re-taping. But yes, the Rit Color Remover is your best bet. That or sharpie it black, I'm assuming you'll know what to do.

i have to say i've messed up dye as well...and the rit remover worked awesome to fix my mistakes

lacrossetitute, have you ever sharpied a head? does the ink hold well in playing conditions? jus wondering...i've been thinking of trying it

Sharpies just make the lead look horrible, i would either got with the dye remover or re-dye the head black but leave it in longer this time.
