no but keep your eyes open a scorer is good but you need vision to what happens the day a guy can stop you

Usually what you want to do is cause a slide. If you beat your man with a dodge and a defenseman slides to you, you should pass to the man who is now uncovered. And when another D guy slides to that uncovered man, he should pass to the next uncovered man and repeat the process until 1 man is left wide open and has a 1 on 1 shot on the goalie.

Dude, if you can take him, take him simple as that. No one is going to get mad if you score, and your team wins..

Depends on how good the rest of your team is.
For example, if they're bad....

ha thats good. as mentioned, if you can score, why not? the only thing that might hurt is if you do it literally every time you get the ball, youre teammates might be kinda ticked, but hey if it wins games, what the hell?

Screw your teammates then, you/they/people have to know, its a team-sport, and just because someone else can score it everytime, and do, doens't mean they are a ball hog, it just means they are clutch and are better than you. Just because youre on the team doesn't mean you deserve to drive and lose the ball.

i mean if your just doing some run and gun lax then theirs really nothing wrong with dodging when you get the ball. but if your running a certain play and you say "what the hell im gonna dodge" then yeah teammates aregonna get pissed. but just remember to pass to the open attackmen where his defender is comeing off him to slide. so dodge deffinetly because really no matter what...its good for the team because it makes the defense work.

I agree with you. If you are a good player, do whatever is necessary to win. Your teammates will eventually see this.
But i think i will also have to disagree, somewhat. You said, if they score every time, it means they are better than you, because this is not true, alot of times an amazing, dedicated player, will get left in the shadows, which is sad but true. Alot of times this is just bad luck, maybe favoritism by the coaches, or maybe they just play a position where you don't have to score as much, like defense, or middie.
But yes, just like you said, if you are on the team it doesn't just give you the right to lose the game for everyone else, by driving in and just loosing possession all of the time.

If you have a favorable matchup, go for it. Your teammates won't get mad at you if your team is winning by ten goals. When you go to the goal though, keep your head up, because if you beat your man, you will draw a slide, and you can pass to a teammate who will be wide open.

My take would be to just keep your head up, because you may have a nice 12yd shot after beating your man, but maybe there's also another kid on the crease with an even better 3 yd 1-on-1 with the goalie. So, ya you have a good shot, but maybe another kid has an even better shot. Just keep your head up and use your own sense to make the right decision.

Technically, it's up to your coach whether or not you take the ball to the cage every time you touch the ball...
I don't know too many successful teams that have just one dimension... try to make yourself a more complete player... assists count as much on the stat sheet as goals do...

first, i have a question: do you keep dodging because you think your teammates are bad? if they genuinely are bad, then yeah, there's no problem doing what you're doing. second, if you do this against a good team, the goalie will recognize this and send the slide earlier and earlier. that's when you have to look to dump it off. maybe not to the crease against a good team because the farthest man from the ball will slide to the crease, but to the backside. against a good team, the slide will come if you beat your man no matter what unless you dodge down the alley. shooting from that angle is generally not condoned by coaches unless your name is paul rabil or steve looney.

Try to pass it other people as well.
Turn the rest of the team into better players, because you are going to lose horribly if you don´t do so, you need eachother in the end.
