here's my evo pro. I slightly pinched it with a hair dryer about a week ago and it turned out pretty good. C+C on the stringing.
Pics.

The 2nd generation ones have a less pinched/more weird pinch than the 1st gen. and i didn't like it.

Not bad, It looks like you could tighten that left top string to keep things more symetrical

I haven't gotten to throw with it besides at my pillow but it doesn't seem like it has too much whip, but it has enough.

Tighten up everything up top. Otherwise, your good to go.

And when it breaks in, it's gonna whip hard.

It's really not loose. It's just like that because the mesh is pulled so tight.

Just saying, my P34's never have that gap on either sides, and I've got one on an Evo Pro too.

Well then maybe you don't have as much of a defined channel. Or you like your head to warp.

No, that's from when I was a noob. I stopped posting string jobs here when the mesh mega thread was created.

If you insist, I'll take some pictures of mine and put it up tomorrow after school.

Well then maybe you don't have as much of a defined channel. Or you like your head to warp. It's plenty defined, but it is definitely warped.

No, it's fine. But when it's done right and to prevent warping, it will look "loose" but it really isn't.

I'll string one tomorrow on my Evo 2.0 without warping, and I'll compare.

Looks can be deceiving...sorry for busting your behind on the top looking loose.

EDIT: Although one recommendation I could make would be stringing both sidewalls at the same time to ensure one side doesn't look "looser" than the other, as it does in the first pic. Doesn't look like it affects the pocket though.

You say it's not loose yet there's clearly like a half inch gap on each side up top.

If you look at a lot of p34's you'll see that gap. The string is actually tight. If you pull it in all the way, it will bend the scoop.

When you ask for C+C and you get it dont get mad... LOL :nono:

actually, everytime i've strung a p34, its never had a gap on the sides. whenever it doesnt reach, or it gets to hard to pull, i'll just take it out, and strech it some more. theres no reason why it wont fit all the way across(without bending the scoop)

when i did a love pocket on my evo pro, no matter how tight i pulled the sidewall it wouldnt come closer at the top. its because when you string a love/p34, you start at the lower sidewall holes, but still the top mesh diamond. that pulls the mesh tighter and creates an even tighter channel.

anyway to your stringing...
looks great. i like it, and enjoy the whip

well you can just use a lower sidewall hole, or you can interlock them. both of these techniques will get the channel, but it just looks a bit differnt.

The pocket itself looks great, especially the shooters, however I would say that the sidewalls need a little refresher. I can understand the gap at the top, I assume that was because the mesh was just not stretched well enough. Most of the way down, however, the loops through the sidewall holes are angled towards the scoop of the head, which means that they are a little too loose. Ideally, the sidewalls are tight and the loop through the sidewall hole is perpendicular to the sidewall. I hope that made sense. Otherwise, it looks great.

laxman01

Everything has been tightened a little since then. But, as Midlax said, the string is done from the last, top, sidewall hole. SO, the string kind of has to stretch up to create a tighter channel.

maybe im missing something about P34's but, are you supposed to skip holes on the evo? look up towards the top on the side Pic, it looks like you skipped, maybe thats just me...

That sucks, they're really nice if you like whip and it's done right.
