I've been having trouble stringing a pocket with a really long throw for a d-pole, I've tried 6D, 10D, American, high pockets, low pockets, just about everything. I'd like to know what you guys do/think would work and maybe see some pictures too if you have them. Thanks

well if your having problems stringing for a dpole, try a high or mid pocket with rolled shooters. rolling them should be the answer.

10d with a couple shooters and a u. 10d is nice because you have alot of options of what kinda pocket you want. if you have the tendency to run the ball up have a pocket with better hold and if you pass alot a little shallower but better throwing

need a pocket that has a little bit of whip much closer to the top. pocket cant be too deep either or you run the risk of playing catch with the ground. think of it being like a catapult. it should hold the ball until the very apex of your throw where its released to get maximum speed on the ball. the d pole is a part of this too. it cant be too heavy or itll be hard to get going and the head should be lighter with a tighter throat. .....did i leave anything out?

im a LSM/D and i use a p34, so it's a midish-midhigh pocket with TONS of hold and the perfect amount of whip.
but most defenders use a low to mid BAG with little to no whip. 6D is awesome for defense.
heres my 6D

uhm, learn how to? it doesnt matter what type of stringing you have on your head, you need to be able to make that pass when playing defense. its the wizard, not the wand.

Thanks that was really helpful in me stringing my head. I can throw endline to end line with what i have now, i just want to be able to do it easier. By the way, stringing does matter, I'll admit that it is often made out to be more important than it is, but it is still important.

yes, stringing a head correctly is very important, i will admit that cus i am a strong believer for that. but the only way to throw end line to end line easily is to do it the right way form wise and mechanically. the stringing of your head wont help something like that. im not trying to be an a-hole, im just saying thats when the stringing of your head is made out to be more important than it is, when people say you can string it a certain way to make it throw better for end line to end line.
