lacrosse is more a tradition in ny, being big in both public and private, in md is all private. ny produces more big names, md solid players

I remember driving through up state NY to look at colleges and it was pretty interesting... Where you would normally see soccer goals/fields in texas, you see lax goals everywhere

hey lacrosse64 we played you my sophmore year on varsity.it was 3 years ago ...im from syracuse and we came down to play wantagh (because they were 5th int he coutnry at the time)then we played you guys the next day....the best part was after the wantagh game we went out and partied with the players and just about the whole team was hungover the next day when we played you guys

ya same here at my school...but i already know, and its predicted that in 3 years after my grade graduates, our program goes back down teh drain.

also, i live in scarsdale, and our area is getting bigger. im not in the same school, i go to one about 5 minutes away. the westchester and lower hudson area is producing a lot of power schools and teams. its amazing, a few teams, like mine, are showing out of nowhere that we can carry new programs with good results.

its also a funnier add on, that our coach was their assistant last year. brian smith. he was our coach 2 years ago, and was supposed to be the head at p'ville last year, but he got bumped at teh last moment and moved to asst. now hes back with us, and hes already having us start practice...we started january 6.

i live in syracuse. i play modified for West Genny right now cuz im only 14, but hopefully ill get on to freshman, jv, and varsity in the future. for WG if youre a senior on the varsity team, youre pretty much guaranteed a lacrosse scholarship. I think every senior on the team this year got some kind of lax scholarship.

Dude we played you guys once when I was in high school. You guys are horrendous. You can't cut it with any of the other teams in the area - Hackley, Scarsdale, White Plains. And Fordham takes the CHSAA every year...good luck with that one.

i live in queens and lets just say that im 16 and only got into lacrosse recently because i just missed my state qualifying time in the 400 (track) and came across something called lacrosse this summer. Ive met almost no one that even knows what lacrosse is (Lacrosse? what does it taste like? has been the funniest response ive ever gotten) let alone anyone who plays it. There arent any stores at all within i think like 20 miles from my home. So in NYC lacrosse is non-existant. The only people i know that play lacrosse is myself and my bro who picked it up soon after I did, and he plays goal. But I really look foward to becoming decent in it (even though I know I started really late)
