Hey, hope this is the write place to post this.

I have been trying to loose some weight before the season. I have been running consistenly and have reduced my portians and have been eating healthier.

I have lost quite a bit of weight. But i have not noticed a differance in my apperance. First i thought i had been lossing muscle, but all my lifts continue to increase.

Is there any reason for this, or is it just normal. Thanks

do you have access to an electric body fat analyzer? you should check you body fat percentages on a regular basis and keep track of your height, weight, and BMI in order to have an accurate idea of your progress.

Cut out most of the carbs in your diet. Try to eat as little starch breads rice etc. fruits are okay. eat some healthy fats, bust your *** in the gym, and take photos! Same place, same lighting, same angle. That's the only way you can keep up with your progress if you dont have the bmi stuff, body fat electric hoo ha.

i dont like following BMI b/c of the fact that muscle weighs more that fat.

Key thing is to have a healthy diet, and stick with it, try low weight high rep routine, you need to mix up what cardio you do also. swim on day, run the other day, bike, ect.

hope this helps

I screwed up. I wasn't talking about actual BMI charts, I was talking about
getting a body fat percentage reading from an analyzer.

You input your info such as: height, weight, gender, age, etc. You hold the handles and it takes a reading, then it tells you your body fat percentage and how much fat in weight. (top screen: fat percentage / bottom screen: fat in pounds)

BMI is pretty much useless when used to measure serious athletes look at most NFL lineman. Each and everyone one of them would be considered overweight.

Worthless. These things have a deviation of about +/- 5%. Do not waste your money on these.

that all just means that your losing fat, gaining muscle. you must have had a low muscle mass before and now your building more solid muscle and your body fat is decreasing.
