Ok i need to get some goalie gloves because i just took a really good shot to my thumb and i use non-goalie gloves. what is the cheapest pair of goalie gloves that have good protection.

You're probably not going to find "cheap" and "excellent protection" together.

A pair of mediocre goalie gloves with some sort of "custom" thumb will provide better protection than $130+ models.

stick with the gloves you have and just put a custom thumb on them. theres a few tuts on here for some good ones.

any glove that you pay 35 for is gonna be the worst possible route. like i said before, just use the gloves you have now, and use one of the tuts for a custom thumb. unless you have a layer of concrete over your thumb, broken thumbs are going to happen. it comes with the job and theres no avoiding it. its like getting hit in the shins

the first superfreaks are quality. i have a pair and i personally love them. the thumb is big but still easy to move and the protection is good too.

I've been using the Hypno goalies for 8 months now and they've held up really well. I've taken a good amount of shots to the thumb with no issues, as I'm pretty sure all Warrior goalie gloves have the same thumbs and the only difference is sheen.

$99 for K18 goalies. Top of the line gloves, you won't find anything better (new) for the price.

If they're the original Superstars, yeah the protection is unparalleled. Unfortunately, they're about as flexible as hockey gloves. You definitely won't have any hand injuries though.

Be aware that the 13' Superfreak 2's are pretty big. i can't deal with mine right now because of the size, but they have amazing protection.
